Gloster Gladiator was the last British biplane. It was in service with the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and the air forces of many other countries in the late 1930s. It saw service in the Norwegian Company Battle of Britain and in the Mediterranean. A total of 746 aircraft were built between 1936 and 1938.
Sea Gladiator Mk.II version for the Royal Navy had a 3-blade propeller, lifeboat storage and arresting hooks. They operated from the aircraft carriers HMS Glorious, HMS Furious and HMS Eagle. Also – from ground airfields, including Malta.
